For the Istanbul-based international law firm’s office project located in the Kempinski Astoria building;

The existing office area, originally designed as a residential layout, has been reconfigured with a new plan scheme tailored to the firm’s needs. To maximize the entrance volume, the reception and lounge areas were positioned as a unified space; meeting rooms were oriented toward the Istanbul view, while executive offices and open workspaces were placed along the other façades, and service areas such as wet zones, storage, and an open library were arranged around the core.

In line with this new spatial organization, volumetric differentiation between spaces was achieved by exposing the existing reinforced concrete slabs on the ceilings in the common areas.

The continuity of the selected exposed concrete flooring in the common areas was intended to define the circulation routes while also creating harmony between the ceiling and the floor.

To ensure spatial transparency, glass partition walls were used not only on the sides of the units facing the common areas but also between adjacent units, aiming to enhance transparency and light transmission. In this way, a bright office environment was created while also enabling uninterrupted visual connections across multiple points within the office.
